A calming day spa overlooking Grafton Street is offering membership packages

By Laura Birmingham

A day spa on the corner of Grafton Street and the Stephen’s Green shopping centre is opening up a membership programme for anyone wanting to commit to a self-care regime.

An oasis of calm in one of Dublin’s busiest spots, we imagine this will appeal to city centre workers who fancy a 30-minute lunchtime treat or a quick facial after work before they head home.

The memberships will run on three tiers at the Buff Day Spa, so there is something for everyone. Here’s the info you need to know.

The Buff Day Spa is upstairs just next to the Gaiety Theatre and it is so peaceful away from the madding crowds down below on the street. It has a relaxation room, a sauna, mani and pedi stations and uses brands like Voya, Image and Dermalogica for its face and body treatments.

Massage is big at the day spa and you only have to roll yourself out the door to hop on a bus or the Luas when you are feeling relaxed and ready for the rest of your day.

Spa Packages

The day spa packages are as follows. The Unwind Membership costs €79 per month and the deal offers a monthly Buff Express Facial or Back Massage, plus the choice of a Scalp, Hand or Foot massage as an add-on. This is the best deal price-wise and it would keep your skin glowing for the months ahead.

The Restore Membership costs €120 per month. This includes a Full Body Massage, (with Essential Oils or Hot Stone options), each month, or a Customised Facial with a choice of Scalp, Hand or Foot Massage. This package also includes a free 30-minute treatment in your birthday month (like a Spa Manicure, Express Pedicure, Back Massage or Indian Head Massage) and this membership gets you 10% off products, other treatments and gift cards.

The most luxurious membership is the Elevate Membership package, which costs €155 per month. This gets you the treatments just mentioned but with the following add-ons – an hour-long complimentary treatment during their birthday month, free samples of new beauty and skincare products, extra loyalty points and taster treatments of new spa therapies. Of course, no matter what package you are signed up for there is always access to the relaxation room to enjoy a little quiet and a cup of herbal tea, or a chance to sit in the sauna and just chill.

Eileen Fleming who owns the day spa says ‘We often hear clients saying they wish that they made self-care a more regular part of their routine. With our memberships, they can easily prioritise their well-being, ensuring they visit us every month without fail.’ Sounds fantastic for anyone working in the surrounding area. The spa opens until 7 pm Monday to Wednesday, but on Thursday, it’s open until 9 pm and 8 pm on Friday. Closed on Sundays, the day spa shuts at 6 pm on Saturdays.
