With over ten years of experience in the beauty industry, Kathleen brings a wealth of knowledge and a dedication to exceptional customer service. Her extensive background along with her passion for mentoring and fostering a positive work culture, makes her a perfect fit for our spa. We are excited to see her innovative ideas and leadership in action.
From the Seas to Salons
Kathleen began her career as a Beauty Therapist aboard the Norwegian Star Cruise Liner, where she provided personalised skincare treatments to guests. This role required her to achieve service and retail targets in a dynamic environment, honing her ability to deliver top-tier service under pressure.
Kathleen then advanced to the role of Salon Manager at Shine Beauty in the Myer Centre Brisbane. In this position, she oversaw salon operations, including rostering, marketing, and training. Kathleen maintained high motivation and performance levels among staff, demonstrating her leadership and management skills.
Advanced Skin and Body Treatments
At the Fiori Institute of Skin and Body, Kathleen administered a range of skin and body treatments, including Ulthera, Thermage, and Clear and Brilliant laser. She also coordinated front-of-house operations, maintaining high clinic standards and ensuring seamless service delivery.
As a Laser and Body Specialist at Therapie Clinic, Kathleen conducted consultations and performed body contouring treatments, prioritising client education and care. She also supported new employees during their transition into the company, showcasing her mentoring abilities.
In her role at South William Clinic and Spa, Kathleen performed advanced skin and body treatments such as Environ, Skinceuticals, Hydrafacials, Dermapen/Rejuvapen, Microneedling/RF treatments, and Thermage. She provided high-quality skin and body assessments, guided clients through their treatment journeys, and mentored junior therapists in consultation techniques and goal-setting.
Leadership and Mentorship
She performed various beauty treatments while achieving service and retail targets. Kathleen also coordinated salon operations and covered managerial duties as needed, further refining her leadership skills.
Most recently, Kathleen served as a Business Account Manager for Dermalogica. In this role, she developed and maintained strong client relationships to drive business growth. She conducted frequent performance reviews with team members, offering positive and constructive feedback, and ensured high standards of treatment room maintenance and stock inventory management.
